What size grease trap do I need?
It comes down to your sink and dishwasher fixtures and how fast water flows through them, which is what the code uses to set the minimum trap size. Undersize it and you fail inspection and pump constantly. Oversize it and you paid for tank you do not need. We measure the fixtures and spec the right size before anything gets installed.
Can you fix a trap instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. A missing or broken baffle, a cracked lid, or a bad access cover can usually be repaired. If the tank itself is cracked through or badly undersized for the kitchen, replacement is the honest answer and we will tell you that straight.
Do you handle the permit and inspection paperwork?
We install to code and give you the documentation for the file. The permit itself usually runs through the building owner or your GC, and we coordinate with them and the plumber so the inspection passes the first time.
